The Astrology of April🔥

With the fire and spice of Aries season and the influence of dreamy yet delusional Neptune, we’re in for an adventure to say the least.

This month is brimming with transformative energies with significant planetary movements that continue to invite reflection, healing, and new beginnings. With the kick off of Neptune entering Aries, we find ourselves collectively in a new direction. As mentioned before, ideologies and illusions can become inflamed, but on the bright side, we may start to feel more momentum to build our dreams and visions.

There is also a lot going on in the sign of Pisces for the first half of the month; with Saturn, N. Node, Venus Rx, and Mercury Rx all jumbled up together, we may feel a bit of confusion, stifled in our direction or simply revisiting old patterns. However, in the second half of the month, Mercury and Venus both go direct, so we will finally find ourselves with more clarity and a boost in our every day routines and relationships. Mars is also a key player here as he finishes up his time in Cancer (thank God) and enters Leo on April 18th. Mars will be opposing Pluto for the third time in the last year plus, so it will almost feel like a finale of something it’s been trying to resolve in the domain of home and family. This can apply to everyone personally differently- look to where Cancer is in your chart. It’s another jam packed month overall, but remember we signed up for this shitshow 😹

Unpopular Opinion: Neptune entering Aries will be a relief.

You may have heard that on Sunday, March 30, Neptune enters Aries for the first time in over 160 years. This slow moving planet is one that influences entire generations and society at large, so this transit is one to pay attention to. The last time it entered Aries, the following day the Civil War broke out. Please know, that I am not here to fear monger, and astrology is not a tool to predict the future. It is, however a tool to become familiar with the energy in the ether. In our last episode of The Art of Woo, Paz and I go over our thoughts on the subject. And because this is IMO the second largest transit happening in 2025, (but also within 20 years at large) I did an even deeper dive/ solo episode on my outlook on this exquisite time we are in.

Remember, this is a portal. Remember, there is a breakdown before the breakthrough. And remember, we are incredibly powerful, sovereign beings.

Spring Equinox is here and Aries season kicks-off our astrological new year. Can you hear the birds singing?

With Venus and Mercury both still retrograde in Aries, we are amid reevaluations around relationships, money, and communication for the first part of the season. As we are also still in eclipse season, it amplifies this intensity, ushering in fated endings, beginnings, and personal growth. Not to mention, one of the biggest transits of the year; Neptune entering Aries on March 30th, we are in for massive collective shifts in our psyche.

This Aries season may have a slow start, but eventually calls us to courageously embrace change, revisit our authenticity, and get crystal clear about our desires and motivations.

LEO FULL MOON 🌕 ♌️

This full moon on Feb 12th is all about being bold, expressive and courageous, and with the square Uranus, expect the unexpected. (Why does it feel like that is just the theme of the year already?)
This moon is also opposite Mercury (in Aquarius) so in addition to Uranus’s disruptive energy, you may find this happening in our headlines (shocking.), or in communication with those around us and our daily lives, not just today but throughout the week.

As a natal Leo Moon myself, I’m going to get a little personal with this one… I have always identified strongly as a Leo, but have often hid the biggest, boldest and more authentic parts of myself. (Confessions of a former people pleaser). And tbh, have even held back from sharing the more expressive sides of myself where I truly felt beautiful and empowered. Like, don’t draw too much attention to yourself, or you will offend others kinda energy. Big wound. Why? Well, inner child stuff, and actually I have discovered my Black Moon Lilith in Leo also plays a big role in this. I did a deep dive into how the BML roles plays in our charts, and its correlation to the Witch Wound. Episode 12, check it out.

Anyways, back to me and my LEOness. 🌻 As I was writing this and embracing the energy of this full moon, I was looking for some photos that represented these said feelings… and found some from the archives. I found photos of my short stint with modeling- that I never shared because of said wounds. So in honor of the full moon in Leo- being bold, expressive and more importantly not giving af, scroll for a few glimpses where I have felt truly in my power, and that Leo energy.

The Year of the Wood Snake & Aquarius New Moon ♒️🌑🪵🐍

The Snake is a deeply symbolic animal in cultures all around the world. And there’s reason for it. The snake overall represents letting go/ shedding of the skin and transformation. I spoke a lot about this in my 2025 overview. I focused a lot on how almost all of the outer planets are changing signs this year (which is profound in of itself, and screams transformation). However, the element of Wood actually adds in a slow, inner, almost quiet transformation. While astrologically, the planets may be very upfront and in our faces- the Wood Snake is like a whisper to each of us, and a reminder to listen to our intuition.

This potent day, pairing up with the Aquarius New Moon, could not feel more appropriate. As we all know, Pluto in Aquarius is a whole new energy we are starting to experience already. Not only is the moon in this sign but it is also cozied up with the Sun and Pluto. So potent! The new moon in this sign, is about beginnings and dreams. While the snake is asking us to go inward and start the process of releasing (this can be attachment to outcome, material items, relationships, parts of you that are no longer serving you)- the Aquarius New Moon is here to start to fill those gaps, and plant the new seeds we wish to see.

With the full moon 🌕 in Cancer today, damn it’s been a heavy one. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t on and off crying all day just deeply feeling the devastation and loss for all of those who have lost everything in LA. AND Asheville, Maui, Santa Rosa a few years back, countless others…

Self promotion seems weird in such extreme times right now. But it’s about time I shared that my 2025 Calendar is here. I almost didn’t make a calendar this year because I didn’t feel like I made enough new work to use. But after multiple people asking me about it, I decided to use some of my favorite watercolors from over the years. One version includes the lunar phases with it, one does not. They’re side by side on my website so make sure to get the one you want!

Because I cannot stop thinking about all of these people, feeling SO useless and not being to do more- I will be donating 20% of the proceeds of all calendar sales to LA fire relief. The only problem is- I don’t know which one to donate to!! Can people who are really in the know please comment to let me know the best place to donate? Thank you in advance. Today is a potent one, not only are we in 111 but the lunar nodes are changing signs. After 18 months of being in Aries and Libra, the North and South Nodes are changing to Pisces and Virgo.

1 is of course, symbolic of new beginnings and fresh starts. So take this day, and into the Full Moon in Cancer on Monday the 13th to focus on the world in wish you want to create. Not only for yourself, but how you wish to see the world as a whole. We all know we want something better, and it is possible despite what outside sources may want you to think. Take a moment today to invision that world. 🕊️

As a collective, we will start to feel a shift into more of Pisces way of feeling. That’s tapping more into our intuition, wisdom, the ethereal and going with the flow. We are being asked to let go of the Virgo traits of which are no longer serving us. Virgo loves the details, the labels and putting things into boxes. I spoke about this in my January update but my feeling is that we will start to move away from the labels and categories that keep us separated and the lines will start to become blurred. Suddenly you may notice your neighbor who you thought was the opposite of you because of their affiliations may start agreeing with you on certain issues. My hope with all of this is we will let down the barriers that keep us arguing or divisive and leaning more into our intuition and wisdom, which ultimately serves a higher purpose for us all.

Check out where Pisces and Virgo resides in your chart to get more of an idea of where this may impact you more personally. As a N. Pisces and S. Node Virgo myself, this should be pretty interesting. As always, I’m here for readings for more insight.

New Moon 🌚 in Capricorn 12/30

It almost feels too aligned, as we are in the season of Cap and already are immersed with new beginnings, the timing of this new moon couldn’t be more on point. (Well I guess if it were tomorrow or the 1st and that could be neat too).

As we say goodbye to 2024, give yourself some credit for making it through another “eventful” year as a collective.

This new moon has an added layer of being success driven, as the sun and moon are cozied up in the sign of Capricorn together. As we begin the new year, with the energy of goals and lists- just remember, this is still the moon we are talking about. She still has the feminine energy of going with the flow more than grasping life by its horns. As much as we’d like to tackle those lists, with this moon, the best we can do is focus on our dreams and goals, release the old patterns and what is not serving you, and allow space for the magic to unfold.

Solstice 💫 the return of the light.

I know I’m a few days late but I was busy doing nothing over the holidays. Give me an excuse to paint the sun and the moon and I’m all over it.

Wishing you a restful in-between time…where we don’t know what day it is, what random snacks will be for dinner or put real pants on in the last two weeks. Honestly it’s nice for the rest of the world to get on my level for a little chunk of time.

By the way, 2025 is the year of the snake 🐍 get ready!

&PS- this is what we call “mom art” when you only have about an hour to be in your studio and crank out as much of a painting as you can. Can you tell? 😅

PLUTO ENTERS AQUARIUS.

Welcome to a whole new world. As I’ve mentioned before, the world is changing so rapidly right now and the astro is here to prove it. As Pluto has been in Capricorn since 2008 we’ve seen both the rise and fall of systems and institutions. Everything is out on the table now, and it’s up to us how we move through these uncharted waters.

This painting is my mere attempt to demonstrate this powerful transit as we change signs as a collective from Capricorn to Aquarius. Pluto, the ruler of the underworld pushes us to transform like no other. It rules power, and reveals to us our deepest shadows. The good news? We just made it through one of the more rigid signs of the zodiac. Pluto pushes to the surface all the hidden truths we’ve been blind to, and are now seeing more of to this day. More or less, I look at this as helping break through the false matrix.

Although it looks like puppies and rainbows on the other side of this, Aquarius will bring its own shadow sides as it rules technology, but more importantly power of the people. We may see the rise of deeper communities and the fall of corrupt power. Or perhaps we already are? Regardless, although this won’t be easy- I am HERE for it!

Collective things aside, you will start to feel a shift in whatever house rules Aquarius for you. Mine is the 10th house ruling career and public roles, notice anything different around here? ✨👀

Under the Taurus Super Moon, it’s all about finding balance between treating yourself and transforming yourself. Think luxury meets liberation: release what’s no longer serving you, realign your values, and maybe savor something indulgent along the way.

This is the last super moon of 2024 and makes an opposition to the sun in Scorpio making for a deeper and transformational experience. For a brief moment, these two signs have a push and pull energy that may leave us a bit confused. An added layer, the moon is conjunct Uranus, making these few days full of surprises or disruption in our everyday routines, but could potentially lead to breakthroughs regarding the material realm. Speaking of Uranus…ETs anyone? 👽

Don’t let it all get the best of you and remember to touch grass, bask in mother natures beauty and enjoy the small luxuries of life! 🌎

One day while sitting on a park bench as my daughter played on the playground, I was mesmerized at how beautiful the shadow of a tree danced against a brick wall was. I thought to myself, what a simple, yet unnoticed moment this is. I should paint it.

Of course, like taking a photo of a sunset, it never looks as good as in real life. Just like this painting, but still I had to get it down on paper. I’ve been intrigued by light since I can remember, but often forget how important it is to stop and recognize it in the moment- just how simple and beautiful it is.
Just like the subtleness of moments like this that go unnoticed, I couldn’t help make the connection back to astrology (sorry, I quite literally can’t help myself these days- especially in these tense times) and Pluto leaving Capricorn in these next few weeks. I know it’s all I’ve been talking about lately, but there’s a reason for it.

The brick wall (Capricorn) and all it represents; structure, systems, and foundations, has been getting its shadow (Pluto) side exposed like never before. It’s why we are seeing what has gone unnoticed behind the scenes in Hollywood for many years finally come to the surface. It’s seeing the corruption behind corporations and governments and starting to hold them accountable. The wealth inequality and abuse of power is growing larger than ever, and getting ridiculed. The list goes on, and we are all in this together.

As Pluto leaves Capricorn, we’re wrapping up a period of intense examination of power and structure within society. The next phase, with Pluto in Aquarius, will shift focus toward technology, collective welfare, and new approaches to governance and societal progress. This is not going to happen overnight, but I do believe now is the time to start dreaming big as to what our next phase as a collective can look like.

Instead of giving all our energy and focus into the fear, and the shadows (it is part of the process, and I believe we’ve been there for quite a while now) what would it look like to shift our focus into how good it can really be?

It may feel like the world is ending, and to a certain extent it is. Death, and destruction, is what we are seeing all around us- but what’s waiting for us as a collective on the other side of this is most importantly growth and transformation. We’ve been experiencing this for what seems like eternity, but especially the last handful of years, and will be even more so these next 6 weeks as Pluto has its last dance in Capricorn.

If you follow any other astrologers, you might be sick of hearing about this massive transit as it’s all anyone can focus on- but there’s a reason for it. And that’s because by looking at the world through an astrological lens, it helps us all make sense of the mayhem. It gives us faith to keep going and push through. And that’s what Pluto is asking from all of us. In addition to all of this, the U.S. is having its Pluto return. Hence why we are on the world stage having a massive upheaval. Where are the things that simply are not working in our systems? What has happened behind the scenes that needs to be exposed for change ? Every facet of life seems like it’s on the brink of extinction- because more or less, it is. The old systems which are not serving us are crumbling before our eyes, and it’s up to us to imagine and create the future we wish to live in.

Ring of Fire 🔥 SOLAR ECLIPSE in LIBRA ♎️ 10/2

How is everyone doing? This eclipse season is coming to an end, closing one chapter and opening another.

While the eclipse is happening in Libra, it’s all about justice, equality and relationships. It is also rubbing up against the South Node 🐉 asking us to release and let go. This is the last chapter of the story that started in the eclipse from October 2023. We may be witnessing these themes on a global scale of justice and equality…and dare I say peace? On a more personal level, this may influence our interpersonal relationships, and with Venus in Scorpio and Mars in Cancer, we are asked to go deeper, but get a little extra boost in healing our emotional wounds. All I gotta say is, take it easy, be kind to yourself and others, and try to have a low key day if not week.
